On this episode, Brooke welcomes Jonathan Kuplack, a 36-year-old endurance athlete and missionary currently in the middle of an extraordinary journey: 100 ultra marathons in 100 days.
Covering 3,500 miles on foot, Jonathan is undertaking the Via Magna ("The Great Road"), a pilgrimage run in support of the apostolate Sebaste, which aims to instill adventure, brotherhood, challenge, and devotion in young men.
This conversation offers a profound reflection on what it means to take bold action for Christ, particularly in this season of Lent. Inspired by Pope Benedict XIV's words describing Lent as "the very badge of Christian warfare," we explore the intersections of endurance running, spiritual devotion, and personal transformation.

GTR #040 Boys to Men: Resurrecting Biblical Chivalry
Monday Jan 11, 2016
Monday Jan 11, 2016
"The need today for warrior-heroes parallels that of the Middle Ages. Regardless of culture or geography, there remains the deep need of everyhuman being to behold a man like Christ. Every little boy needs to watch one. Every littlegirl needs to be protected by one. Every woman needs to be intimately acquainted with one.Every tradition needs to repeat the story of the proud father and mother admiring the son theybrought into the world, and will launch like a flaming arrow to places far beyond their life‘sspan. And every man, born with an unquenchable burning within and a mission from GodHimself, needs to become the warrior-hero he was created to be." -Ryan Maguire
Brooke explores this concept, presented in the article "Biblical Chivalry," here. Tips on raising young men as modern-day knights, a review of the program "Passport to Purity," and much more!
